Beehives and Myself

y works are inspired by the concept of collaboration and the team spirit that bees so naturally demonstrate as they build their beehives. In these works I have used various materials, each of which assumes a very specific role in the work. The starting point (for this series) was my preoccupation with how we engage with different materials.
In order to build these works I spent time studying beehives and observing my own reactions to them. The form and the sense of a deeply holistic internal spirit, which gives rise to such incredible architecture, are some of the influences I wanted to express.
It is a space to pause and to question ourselves about our own existence.
Constantly shifting space, made up of different layers, raises the issues of life and its surroundings. It has no visible end and carries us away on a long journey. It remains, however a negotiated space, lying between natural instinct and a constructed thought process.
